This is kind off a bitter end for me.
Riffaday is done, I’ve reached my goal. I loved doing it and have learned a lot about recording audio and video. I even learned a few new tricks on my instruments too while venturing out of my comfort zone to record certain riffs. It took a big part of my time last year which made it hard for me to do much else than record riffs. I couldn’t have done this without the support I’ve got from a lot of people. If you ever listened to one of my riffs, shared them or even commented on them, you’re one of them! Especially thanks to Kiddarqo and Samson who even filled in for me when I wasn’t able to play myself.
But the person I’d like to thank the most is my girlfriend who often had to be on her own while I was recording. Without her loving support and willingness to let me do this crazy thing, riffaday wouldn’t have happened.
Is this really the end of riffaday you might ask. Well I can tell you this. I won’t be posting coverriffs everyday anymore. That’s been done already and I feel the need to do something different. Yes, that means I still have plans for this site. It bothered me sometimes that I couldn’t always cover a song/riff to it’s fullest potential because of the time limit I had. So I will still post some covers but will take my time to get the details right. I probably won’t be posting any covers that are true to the original. I had most fun when I could do something different with the original and will be doing that for the future. Maybe I’ll even look for someone to sing on them too but that’s remains to be seen.
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and I hope to hear from you in the future.
